Fisher & Paykel Appliances is a household name in Australasia and regarded as a leader in the design, manufacture and marketer of innovative household appliances developed with a commitment to technology, design, user friendliness and environmental awareness.

Fisher & Paykel Appliances has manufacturing sites located in Auckland, New Zealand; Borso del Grappa (TV), Italy; Rayong, Thailand and Reynosa, Mexico along with a worldwide network of Sales, Support and Customer Centres.

In the mid-2000's Fisher & Paykel Alliances selected ADP as their Global Human Resource and Payroll supplier and began the process of implementation.

As the implementation of ADP came to an end a number of new challenges came to light when it came to gaining a Global perspective of the Workforce with each country using a separate Database along with differing languages.

What was needed was a mechanism for consolidating the information from the relevant Payroll instances and transforming the information into a standard reportable format.

It was at this point that Fisher & Paykel Appliances selected CPM Management Studio©  from Human Resource Information Technologists Limited to deliver the Global Workforce Reporting they sought.

A project team was established at F&P Appliances Auckland offices headed by Alison Brown and Sharon Swindale.  From there access was gained to all the required country Databases and work began on identifying all the tables and data fields from which information could be sourced.  This was no mean feat as numerous transformation tables needed to be defined in  CPM Management Studio©   to convert the Thai and Spanish definitions and Terminologies into a standardised set of Reporting Tables.

In less than a month a view of the Workforce Headcount was achieved.  In just over 3 months Payroll Costs, FTE and Hours from most of the Payrolls.

In the middle of the project F&P Appliances implemented the Salary Review Studio of CPM Management Studio© to deliver their Global Annual Salary Review process.  With the Salary Review Studio being a multi-company/country system the entire Global Salary Review was run as a single Review.  Such was the flexibility of the system, separate policy data could used for each country reflecting their own currencies.

On completion of the Annual Salary Review the Workforce Metrics project was completed.

Now F&P Appliances has instant access to Global Workforce information including Leave Liability, Budget  vs Actual Payroll Costs, Attrition and Retention Statistics and a complete picture of their Global Population.

For HRIT this project had presented one of the most complex and exciting challenges yet.  Having been put to the test, the incredible flexibility of CPM Management Studio©  was as able to meet the challenge presented and deliver on the clients needs.
