The Business Information Cycle

Previous Slide Next Slide

Without stating the obvious, information is fundamental in the successful operation of any business.  In this instance, the focus will be on the use of Workforce Information.

In fact information should be the starting point for any Management Decision making process.  Whether information is sourced internally, or is sourced externally from industry surveys, benchmarks or statistics, information will support all strategic management decisions.  Even the application of ‘Best Practice’ is foundered on the collation and analysis of information accumulated from experience with multiple organisations.

Using information, Management can formulate and put into place Operational Policy and Practices.

Information is then created by the processes defined under the new Policy.

This information is then used by Management to review the impact of Policy and Practice, and if required revise current policy or implement new policy.
