By further expanding the
Business
Information Cycle, it can be seen that Policy and Practice dictate how
HR and Payroll Systems need to be configured to support said Policy.
Systems are the mechanism to support Policy, not define Policy.
Included in HR Systems are E-Recruitment, Learning and Development, OSH,
etc.
Also
included in this model is the Data Warehouse. This is generally
because, whilst HR and Payroll systems create a considerable amount of
valuable information, there is every chance it is not in a format that
is useable by Management in the decision making process. Also, the HR
Systems may in fact be a collection of different solutions with their
own independent data sources. By mining this information and
rationalising it into a single repository (the Warehouse), more focused
and relevant reporting can be delivered. |
